How to bid

Live Internet Bidding

1. Bid live online via David Stanley Auctions register here with NO online bidding surcharges.
2. Bid live online via Easy Live Auction which will be subject to an additional 3% surcharge + VAT at the rate imposed on the hammer price or no commission for the internet bidding if the ‘Flat Fee’ has been chosen at registration.

Commission Bids

You can register on our website and leave your commission bids online or contact David Stanley Auctions via email or telephone to leave your bids where items will be purchased on your behalf as cheaply as possible.

Telephone Bids

Request a telephone bid (subject to availability) Lots estimated at £50 or above only.

Charges

Buyers Premium 22% (inclusive of VAT) Minimum of £5.50 +VAT per lot.

Collections

By appointment after sale day.

Packing & Shipping

We have our own in-house designated team who will pack and ship lots in the UK and overseas.

They have over 40 years of experience.

Lots will normally be sent within two weeks of the sale once the invoice is paid.

Packing is charged at £4.80 per lot + 1% insurance.

Postage is charged at cost.

All parcels are tracked and sent with the most economical and reliable courier.

*Some lots may not be suitable to send outside the UK or are for collection only - see catalogue description of lot

UK Shipping

We use Royal Mail, Parcelforce, and DPD.

Man and a Van. We can obtain a quote from our contact for certain areas in the UK for large items.

Please contact us to arrange a quote.

Overseas

We use UPS or DHL.

Import duties will need to be paid before delivery.

If other couriers are preferred, please contact us to discuss as we could send at our discretion.

Storage

Storage charges will apply after 14 days unless discussed and agreed.

The charges will be £2 per lot per day.

Please contact us as soon as possible to avoid charges.

Payment

Bank Transfer, Debit Card or Cash only
N.B. All lots are illustrated and described with a condition grading. Each lot is given an estimated value allowing absent buyers to bid with every confidence. Missing or replacement parts are noted and any purchase found to be not as described, can be returned for a full refund.
